- SeamVad is a start-up company that specializes in the implants and specialty tools for vascular field.
- During the initial stages of the design process an in depth research was conducted about long term implants.
- SeamVad’s solution consists of two parts: an implanted connector and applicator (surgical tool).
- The connector was designed out of a unique Bio-Compatible polymer. This unique material is “invisble” to common medical imaging technologies (X-Ray, MRI, etc.) and thus does not infract with the procedures’ workflow.
- The connector was designed the aide of CAD and FEA software in order to overcome the project’s severe requirements.
